update 1.8.3


Since 1.9 is planned to be a huge update it's going to take a long time. Using a democratic system we decided to put out one more QOL update to make the game as good as it can be until the next version is ready :)

CHANGES:

  • Module changes:
    • Engine throttler was significantly worse than other modules for the longest time, so now its iframe on kill duration is longer, scales with tier, and can be reset while under its effect.
    • Drill shield tier 5 now reflects projectiles directly at enemies at high speed. Try it, it's worth
    • Spike range increased slightly.
  • Weapon changes:
    • E.M. Bolt fire rate increased by about 15% and EMP radius at one stack increased by about 22%. This helps make it more consistent at getting more bolts stuck in before the timer expires and to respond to threats faster
    • Laser tier 3 damage buffed from 6/10/6 to 8/8/8 and energy cost reduced from 7 to 6. It can now easily compete with PMG and is quite strong now.
    • PMG tier 3 damage buffed 10 > 12. It dealt less potential damage than at tier 2 so that's fixed now.
  • Higher chance for a module crate wave reward to be blue
  • One shot protection added: if taking damage more than or equal to 80% of your max hp in a short amount of time, you will live with 10% hp remaining. may your deaths contain a bit less BS
  • Assemblers and module crates now much, much harder to destroy by non-player damage
  • Scrapping modules now gives circuits inside the inventory. This means the magnet can't increase the value of scrapped modules anymore, but it's only fair. 
  • HP bar displays shield amount (for Dary)
  • Defensive drones now defuse projectiles, preventing them from exploding
  • Turrets now try to avoid player when going to their asteroid
  • Turret death explosion damage cut in half
  • Turrets now don't forget to put up their shield at low health
  • Enemies are less likely to spawn colliding with each other in later waves
  • Shiny enemies now have reduced cooldowns for a bit more pain
  • More enemies can now be shiny
  • Binismode now uses dark theme. Possibly the most important change
  • Fixed some bugs

REVISION 1:

  • Fixed blue module crate drop rates
  • Fixed visual bug when waves have been downloaded
  • Fixed health crate health not being increased accordingly

REVISION 2:

  • Increased energy usage for pmg3 and bolt to account for their significantly increased damage
  • Shiny enemies buffed a bit more for more fun
  • Built-in version checker
  • No icon cap on leaderboards. All your contributions will be acknowledged :))
  • Revenant health 180 -> 200
  • Antimatter shield now takes 50% more binisium to fully charge
  • Drill shield no longer incorrectly stacks damage multiplier, now capped at 2x

REVISION 3:

  • Fixed inevitable gamebreaking bug
  • Health crates no longer interact with drill shield
  • PMG3 energy cost 5 -> 4.5 as compensation for all these revision patches. This should be the last

UPDATE:

  • now supports itch launcher. as a result, the zip file names will be different. no gameplay changes here, still good old 1.8.3
